Wckr Spgt - Everybody's Dead (Oh No) (1997) [Shrimper, SHR95, CD]

This record is notable for many reasons, but here are three of them:

it features the entire lineup of Nothing Painted Blue (Franklin Bruno, Peter Hughes, and Kyle Brodie) as part of the band
Bob Durkee recorded it at fBe Studios, making for a distinctive sound compared to other Spgt material!
Peter Hughes, in tour diaries for the Mountain Goats record We Shall All Be Healed, stated ca. 2003: "For years I've said Wckr Spgt's Everybody's Dead, Oh No is the best thing I've ever played on.
It's finally been surpassed. This one's gonna fucking kill you." 1997 to 2003 is a strong run; and to be dethroned only by WSABH, too, which the Claremont Cometh offices agree will fucking kill you.
