I will say, this tape has some of my favorite Spgt songs, and I encourage you to seek out exactly one song on that page, even if the spirit of Spgt has yet to move you. Just try out "Going to Waco" and see what happens when Spgt really takes a swing at something. If you don't feel something when Joel Huschle outright sings the "Pacific Time is ten, Central is eleven" line and those acoustic chords hold steady under it, hey, man. I can't help you.
That's also Spgt's only Spgt-specific contribution to the "Going to..." ecosystem, which originates in the Mountain Goats/Extra Glenns biome. The Spgt site's alphabetical index for ''G'' can take you to a Cash Nexus contribution (the beautiful "Going to Fresno (Far Away)" while you're there. Diskothi-Q also got in on it, and "Going to Fontana" on Nothing Painted Blue's Sorely Tempted 7" is a highlight, too.
