DiskothiQ - Hit The North 3 (1993) [Volvolo, LO 704, 7"]
This 7" contains 3 DiskothiQ songs. The title track is presented here in full-band format, while an acoustic guitar solo version was featured on Theme Park Records' 1995 compilation Our Salvation Is At Hand and is worth tracking down (Delicious, Homemade. For the second ("Hit The North 2 (I Take It All Back)") a few versions survive: one on the Party of One/Delly Daktel split Pick Yr Monologue, a live version on Delicious, Homemade, and finally the DiskothiQ on-album version on Harmless But Ultimately Unloveable/Loveless But Ultimately Unharmable.
"Dwell On This" survives in three places: here, live on the same split cassette mentioned above, and a recording that made a KXLU compilation. That the song never saw wider release is a tragedy. Arguments could be made for what would make the cut on a DiskothiQ best-of album, and I could be talked into or out of a lot of songs, but this one's non-negotiable. Put it on the sticker. "Studio recording of "Dwell On This" on CD, at last!"
