Jupa mostly put out records for Shrimper-associated bands (Nothing Painted Blue, Refrigerator, and Wckr Spgt) so the inclusion of Giant Sand may seem odd. Joey Burns, who played bass and provided backing vocals for some of the early Nothing Painted Blue releases (though not the earliest, which were Michael Neelon territory) worked with Giant Sand and would later form Calexico with John Convertino, also on board for this 7" along with Howe Gelb.
My first copy of this 7" had a corner cut right where Howe's head is in the back photo, which I almost thought was intentional due to his expression, and include here for your enjoyment:
Delightful. Anyway, the photo is, to my best guesses from looking up photos of the fellas now: Gelb left, Convertino center, Joey Burns at right.
