Some artist notes:

• Ocasek, Little Jupiter, and Ukraine are projects of Brad Rose, who ran Cactus Gum. 
• Mean Spirit'd Robots, Caleb Fraid, Ramon Speed, and Noggin have made a lot of comp appearances among Shrimper types
• Creeper Lagoon put out a tape on Shrimper.
• So did Mote!
• Bingo Trappers had an LP on Shrimper and a tape I'd like to get ahold of.  
• The Azusa Plane also had a tape on Shrimper that I haven't been able to find yet.
• Charlie McAlister ran Flannel Banjo, wrote Sardine Magozine, and was a singular guy. I didn't know him personally, but I know what he meant to people. RIP. 

The main point of interest here is DiskothiQ's cover of The Cars' "Just What I Needed", which features Bob Durkee on backing vocals. Uncompiled elsewhere and a real joy! The kind of thing you'd hope could make it to a Best-Of, if Peter ever had a mind to do that kind of thing. That, and I think there should have been a split 7" with this and Nothing Painted Blue's cover of "President Am I".
